e-Mentoring Initiative
presented by CIO Association of Canada and CATA Women in IT
March 8, 2010 - Ontario
20 Ontario CIO Mentors (women or men) and 20 Management-track IT Women Mentees needed by March 8th.
The CIO Association of Canada (CIOCAN) and the CATA Women in IT Forum (CATA-WIT) are partnering to launch a pilot program in e-mentoring for women to develop talent in IT Leadership.
Women require mentoring opportunities so that they can make connections, share experiences, seek safe counsel and have role models within IT leadership ranks. Without this, young women lack a clear vision of a path to the senior echelons of business, and they often opt out of IT in their mid-thirties, just when their careers could be gaining traction.
Be a Part of It! Program launch is March 23rd, and some lead time is needed for mentor-mentee match-ups.
