The Android tablet that's smaller than an iPad and it's also a cellphone 2011-04-dell-streak.gif Dell Streak

Dell Streak

Every product has pros and cons, and for the five-inch Dell Streak the big plus and minus is the same: screen size. The Streak is a very capable Android-based tablet. It’s responsive, designed and built well, has a nice crisp screen and offers 3G wireless, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It’s one of the few available tablets that you might actually consider buying. Now for the size. It’s smaller than an iPad and so some will love its portability. Others will wish for more screen real estate. There is no right or wrong on this: the size either suits you or it doesn’t.

The Streak is also a cellphone (Rogers sells it for $99 on a three-year contract) and it’s surprising that Dell doesn’t offer a Wi-Fi-only version; there are many people looking for an iPad alternative and having a cheaper version of the Streak might appeal to them.
