Integration Architect

Overview
looking for a Senior Integration Architect starting on a 6 month contract, able to understand the applications integration current state, design future state, identify gaps, conduct assessments and develop recommendations working on a heterogeneous environment (SOA, ESB, ETL, Web Services, ERP, CIS, GIS, BI & Reporting, Intranet).

Responsibilities
•Gather requirements from business and technical stakeholders.
•Synthesize and document all requirements, designs and blueprints.
•Define and establish technical environments (development, testing and production).
•Assess the corporate applications environment evaluating Interoperability capability, performance and scalability, reliability and availability, application lifecycle stage, technological and business risks.
•Review architecture designs and evaluate impact on exceptions and changes.
•Ensure delivered integration solutions perform to user specifications and performance standards.
•Support project teams on the SOA and Integration framework.
•Continually explore new and emerging technologies and lead investigation and adaptation of beneficial SOA technologies and tools.
•Develop the blueprints (roadmap, principles, policies, governance and technologies) for SOA based solutions (ERP, CIS, etc) and legacy applications requiring integration solutions.
•Conduct strategic and execution risks assessments and recommend mitigation initiatives.

Technical Qualifications
•Extensive experience in middleware infrastructure (e.g. WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere MQ, WebSphere Message Broker, Enterprise Service Bus).
•Strong knowledge of key relational databases (Oracle and SQL Server).
•Strong Knowledge and understanding of Windows infrastructure and Intel servers, Linux and AIX.
•Knowledge of multiple aspects of integration and SOA processes, patterns and technologies.
•Experienced on architecting, designing and implementing J2EE and .Net Solutions.
•Knowledge of an enterprise-scale SDLC.
•Experience with Web Services standards (WSDL, SOAP, XML, REST).
•Experience with different integration techniques (point to point, API, web services, ETL, etc).

Non-Technical Qualifications
•Ability to work independently with excellent time management.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Must be able to identify potential issues and then raise issues, complete with recommended solutions, to senior IT and business leaders.
•Strong leadership skills while working in a team environment.
•Negotiation and creative problem solving skills.
