Great weather is (finally) here so many Canadians are understandably anxious to skip a day off work or school. Google Maps rocks on mobile phones

I’ve been playing around with the free Google Maps software on my BlackBerry, and whether you're in Moscow (where I was on a recent business trip) or back home in Toronto, this program works like a gem. Currently in beta, Google Maps with My Location lets you see where you are on a map from an overhead perspective -- and, if you like -- how to get to a desired location, such as a friend's address or a point of interest. For example, press the 0 button on your phone and the overhead map (or satellite image) shows where you are; now press the Search button and type in something like "coffee" and it will show you the nearest locations to Tim Hortons, Starbucks, Second Cup and Coffee Time. As you'll see in this instructional video, your phone doesn't even need GPS! This is wild stuff…take a look…
