It may not be worth buying a 3D TV

One third of consumers plan to buy a high-definition TV this year, but 55 per cent of those have no interest in 3D TVs, and a further 23 per cent said they would be interested only if the price difference were slight. Retrevo, author of the study, speculates that this lack of interest contributed to the recent significant losses at Panasonic and Sony, both companies that bet heavily on 3D.
