The new openness brought about by social media has resulted in ‘naked institutions’, says Don, which means their integrity is vital - a good thing. The pharmaceutical and music industries, currently experiencing trouble are also impacted by this new communication.

Perhaps the most strikingly powerful use to date of these tools has been by Tunisian students who used mobile phone photography to pinpoint and expose snipers, thus saving the lives of their friends and affecting the politics of their country. Syrian students are now using Twitter to do a similar thing.

Boundaries of organizations are changing due to the use of new technology and ‘sunlight is disinfecting civilization’, says Don. He also shares research he’s been doing on what the future may look like and asks us if we know what a murmuation of starlings is...
