PEER 1 Offers New SaaS Incubator Program for Microsoft Windows Platform   |  November 28, 2007

Geared to small-midsize business growth, low-cost program provides a secure environment to develop products

VANCOUVER, Nov. 28 /CNW/ -- PEER 1 Network Enterprises, Inc. (TSX-V: PIX), a leading provider of online IT infrastructure, is now providing SaaS3, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) incubation and enablement service, for its Independent Software Vendor (ISV) partners. SaaS3 assists small to mid-sized ISVs test, deploy and manage their Web 2.0, enterprise 2.0 and SaaS applications throughout the entire product lifecycle on the Microsoft Windows platform.

"ISVs are increasingly adopting the SaaS model to help them reach new markets," said Robert Miggins, vice president of business development for PEER 1. "As SaaS providers, ISVs have to operate differently than traditional ISVs by offering software plus services instead of just software. They can benefit greatly by from this type of innovative and affordable development tool for the Microsoft Windows platform."

Building on their current infrastructure for SaaS applications, PEER 1's SaaS3 program walks businesses through the essential aspects of building and deploying applications running on the Microsoft platform. ISVs can begin by working on products from the ground up in an online developer sandbox. Here they can confirm architectural design, conduct 'Proof of Concepts,' and get feedback from potential customers.

When the product is ready for market, it can then be seamlessly transitioned online, within the PEER 1 secure, managed hosting infrastructure. These services can help reduce IT spending and consolidate resources needed for SaaS applications. As the product and company grows, the SaaS3 program provides expert consultation and a fully scalable network to support it. "SaaS presents a tremendous opportunity for ISVs, particularly for those working with a hosting provider," said John Zanni, managing director of worldwide hosting for Microsoft Corp. "Working with a company like PEER 1, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, not only brings credibility to the organization, but also helps the ISV go to market quicker."

PEER 1 has formulated the SaaS3 program for Windows to continue providing value-added services to its ISV partners and in turn to their customers. "Having an online testing area, such as SaaS3, will help our company to expand product offerings more quickly and with better results, said Jon Biedermann, vice president of DonorPerfect.com. "PEER 1 has provided us with excellent customer service and support for many years, and adding this program will just continue to build their reliability and reputation as a valuable business and IT partner."
