International SOS Launches New Features for Traveler Locator Service August 9, 2007
Corporate Security, Human Resources and Travel Managers Able to Use SMS to Communicate with Employees During Crisis

Philadelphia, PA – August 1, 2007 – International SOS, the world’s leading provider of travel, medical and security assistance, today announced it has enhanced its online Traveler Locator Service (TLS), with two new features: Short Message Service (SMS) and Custom Risk Ratings.

TLS is used by corporate security, human resources and travel managers from large global organizations to track international employee travel in real time and to deploy emergency resources to employees and dependents in times of crisis.

The new SMS communications platform enables International SOS clients to send short text messages to their global travelers, enabling quick communication during a crisis. This new communications platform within the TLS has proven particularly popular among companies in the aerospace, pharmaceutical and energy industries

“Companies need to communicate reliably and in real time with employees during a crisis,” said Tim Daniel, Chief Operating Officer of International SOS. “Since sending e-mail messages to mobile phones is not always reliable, our Traveler Locator Service SMS service enables companies to leverage wireless networks to ensure that their travelers receive the vital information they need when facing a crisis.”

The new Custom Risk Ratings service enables client administrators to reassign International SOS medical, security or combined risk ratings to reflect unique situations that create a different risk profile for their specific organization. The enhanced

Traveler Locator System then factors the customized ratings into the notification and reporting capability inherent in the TLS.

“Many of our clients have spent years operating overseas and are highly aware of the day-to-day risks they face,” said Daniel. “Custom Risk Ratings enables organizations to apply their own view of an area that they have come to know through on-the-ground experience. Since employees in these areas understand the risks they face, it enables the organization to communicate more efficiently with them, and not overload employees with information they already have.”

The Traveler Locator Service already includes features such as proactive email alerts, which enables TLS clients to know the exact number of current travelers they have in a location affected by a situation for which an International SOS alert has been issued. Organizations can instantly determine the total number of current travelers affected by specific medical or security alerts by regional, country or city level, as well as by airport.

In addition, the Traveler Locator Service gives organizations the ability to edit individual traveler information directly with the Global Distribution System (GDS), ensuring data integrity.
