Contec launches BUZmob™ service May 15, 2007
Contec Innovations (TSX Venture Exchange - Symbol BUZ), a provider of mobile infrastructure software, today announced the beta release of BUZmob™, a new publishing service for mobilizing Internet news, business information, weather, sports, entertainment and user-generated content.

Based on patent-pending technology, BUZmob provides content publishers a simple, web-based solution to deliver feed-based digital content to mobile users on any device, on any network, anywhere. Publishers such as news agencies, media companies, blog platforms and social networks can now effectively target their mobile audience without having to create new mobile versions of their existing web content.

"We’re excited to be able to offer this Hornet-powered service to the widest available audience,” said Don Lay, Contec's CEO. “BUZmob is a market-leading service that dramatically reduces the barriers for publishers to mobilize and to deliver relevant and timely Internet content,” Lay added.

BUZmob functionality focuses on the mobilization and delivery of RSS and Atom feed-based content. Feeds have exploded across the Internet in recent years, numbering in the tens of millions. All blog platforms, social networks and virtually all media and news sites leverage the power of feed technology to disseminate information.

For mobile users, BUZmob provides easy one-click access to personalized feeds on their handset, including images, graphics and linked web sites. BUZmob’s feed-reading capabilities are optimized for all mobile browsers, without requiring the end-user to download software or to subscribe to any service. Browser bookmarks are created automatically and sent via text message to the user in a subscription-free process.
