Synacor Announces Partnership with Yummy Interactive May 14, 2007
Online gaming packages offer customers more than 150 games right at their fingertips

BUFFALO, N.Y., May 14 /CNW/ -- Synacor today announced a partnership with Yummy Interactive and the launch of new premium, all- inclusive, online game services that offer consumers a wide variety of online playable games for all ages and gaming levels.

Yummy Interactive provides on demand digital delivery technology and game packages in partnership with Synacor, a leader in the development and integration of value-added online content and technology solutions for broadband and Internet service providers. The game services will be available to service providers, who can in turn offer this premium content to their high-speed data customers.

"Games on Demand significantly increase the value proposition for broadband data service providers who want to offer their consumers premium content packages," said Nick Mellios, CEO of Yummy. "Gaming is something that the entire family can appreciate and enjoy together, and so we are thrilled that we have been able to collaborate with Synacor to deliver such a unique gaming solution to consumers."

Yummy Arcade(TM) offers users nearly 100 casual and arcade games including popular action puzzle games (including PlayFirst's Diner Dash (R), card and board games (Suduko, Texas Hold'em), and word games. Through an online catalog subscribers can browse for games by genre or title, and then install and launch games from a simple games-player software.

Atari(R) Classic Games, powered by Yummy, offers more than 50 of Atari's popular arcade games, such as Centipede(R), Breakout(R) and Pong(R) that baby boomers grew up on and are now considered classics.

"As online gaming continues to increase, the popularity of the downloadable game for all ages also continues to expand among users," said Ron Frankel, president and CEO of Synacor. "Yummy Arcade includes some of the most popular online games. Consumers of all ages will be able to enjoy this game content."

Subscribers will have unlimited access to the games through a private- label online portal developed and managed by Synacor. This portal will provide users a seamlessly integrated experience right on the service provider's homepage, and allow them to access the games without ever leaving the primary Web site. The services also include Yummy's user application with a buffering feature, which allows users to begin playing the games before they have fully downloaded.
