May 9, 2007
Toronto, ON (Canada) – May 9, 2007 – The Banff World Television Festival announced today that the 2007 Deluxe Outstanding Technical Achievement Award will be presented to da Vinci Systems in recognition of the company’s technical innovation. With credits on blockbuster films such as Spiderman 3, DreamGirls and Gladiator, and television shows such as the Sopranos and CSI: Miami, this honour acknowledges the creative latitude that da Vinci Systems’ line of products offers producers, directors and many others in the film and television industry. The selection was made in consultation with technology executives from the postproduction and broadcast industries throughout Canada.

The 2007 Deluxe Outstanding Technical Achievement Award will be presented to da Vinci Systems’ Vice-President & General Manager, Bill Robertson, during the annual Awards Luncheon at the Banff World Television Festival on Monday June 11, 2007. ”We are truly thankful to the nominating committee for recognizing and selecting da Vinci for this distinguished award,” said Bill Robertson, General Manager at da Vinci Systems. “We are humbled to see the companies previously receiving this award are among the best in the industry, and we’re proud to be inducted into such a distinguished group. It’s an even greater honour to know the hard work and dedication of the entire da Vinci team is acknowledged for making such an important impact in the industry.”
