| Global Fleet Management Company Partners With ATC-Onlane to Extend Successful Online Remarketing Program Across Western Canada |
May 8, 2007 |
MENLO PARK, CALIF., May 8 /CNW/ - ATC-Onlane, the leading online auction company in North America for automotive dealers to buy and sell wholesale vehicles, today announced that its customer, GE Capital Solutions Fleet Services Canada (GE), will extend its popular online remarketing program, Click, throughout western Canada. GE, a global provider of vehicle leasing and fleet management services, partnered with ATC-Onlane two years ago to power Click, which was initially launched in Ontario, and then extended to Quebec in June of last year. Based on the tremendous success of Click in these two provinces, GE has firmly established the program as an integral part of the company's multi-channel remarketing strategy.
The uniquely branded Click website allows dealers to notify GE about off-lease vehicles over the Internet, while also giving them the power to view, select and purchase vehicles online. The entire Click process takes place within a 4-5 day cycle and the off-lease vehicles are sold via the Internet from the grounding location to dealers across Canada. "Rolling out Click in Ontario and Quebec has enabled us to sell our customers' off-lease vehicles quicker and at a lower cost," said Fred Leith, vice president of Marketing and Communications, GE Capital Solutions Fleet Services in Canada. "ATC-Onlane's innovative process and expertise will now be a part of our overall multi-channel strategy to remarket vehicles across the entire country. This will strengthen our overall value proposition, ensuring optimum cycle time and maximized net returns for our customers."
GE reports over 20 million dollars in upstream remarketing sales via Click since the program launched in December of 2005. Over 50 percent of these vehicles were sold to buyers in other provinces, with many being shipped to western retail markets. In addition, GE sells over 70 percent of all vehicles listed on the Click site, validating the Internet as a trusted and effective remarketing channel. Overall, Internet remarketing programs operated by ATC-Onlane also provide significant savings in transport and travel costs for sellers and buyers relative to physical auction processes.
"We have been very pleased with the relationship we have established with GE Capital Solutions Fleet Services over the past two years, and are thrilled to be expanding our partnership to deliver the Click program across western Canada," said Clive Kinross, ATC-Onlane. "We are confident that this program will help GE customers garner a strong return on investment from their off-lease fleet vehicles. In addition, the Click program is a true success story of how the Internet has emerged as a powerful medium for remarketing vehicles."

Where did I put that darn headset?
Cardo S-800
Bluetooth headsets are very useful - until you misplace them. When you lose the attractive little S-800, you use your phone to signal the headset to start buzzing.
