With September quickly approaching, we’re getting closer to the day students dread (and their parents eagerly anticipate): Back to School.
Back to school shopping usually means stocking up on books, paper, pens, pencils, and notebooks. But with the rise of Android phones, a smartphone can also make the grade as an educational tool.
We have compiled a list of applications we think are the head of the class:
1. Class Buddy
Class Buddy Pro for the Google Android Phone is a management tool for school study schedules. You can use this tool to manage semesters and courses, assignments, exams and quizzes
2. OfficeSuite Pro
A complete mobile office, allowing you to create, view and edit Microsoft Word and Excel files and attachments, as well as to view PowerPoint and PDF files on your Android based phone.
3. AK Notepad
You can write anything you want e.g. a shopping list etc. and set a quick reminder for your note or share it with others by SMS or email.
4. Google Calendar
Share colour-coded calendars with other students in order to schedule classes and group extracurricular activities together!
5. Formulas Lite
An easy to use application that helps to refer you to a collection of the most important math, physics and chemistry formulas. A must have for students.
6. Thesaurus
Retrieve the synonym for every word. If available you will get antonyms, related terms, similar word and user suggestions too.
7. Google Docs
Edit papers and presentations together, online, at the same time -- groups of study buddies can share research notes and edit papers together. It makes learning and writing much faster and more flexible -- it's something we all wish we had when we were in school.
8. StudyDroid
This app will let you create unlimited packs of flash cards on your phone. Just create a pack, add a card, fill out the front and back, and keeping adding cards as you need them.
9. Wapedia
Like Wikipedia, but you don’t have to open the browser and type in Wikipedia’s URL, which saves precious time during fast-paced classes.
10. ColorDict Universal Dictionary
10. ColorDict Universal Dictionary
You don’t need an internet connection to search because it is stored in the sdcard. You can search words and idioms in many dictionaries at once.
