| Cool marketing play, part 2 |
September 25, 2006 |
We here at Backbone simply had to include this one: the Panasonic Battery Group recently launched a Neuter Your Bunny campaign (www.neuteryourbunny.com). According to Panasonic marketing director Brian Kimberlin, the company wants to “improve the lives of bunnies and their owners” by encouraging neutering. Now, in case you missed the fact that mega-brand Energizer uses a bunny in its advertising, and that maybe this campaign is using bunny health to sell batteries, Kimberlin continued, “With this effort, we hope to raise awareness for the health benefits of bunny neutering and the performance benefits of Panasonic Oxyride batteries. When using Oxyride batteries in your digital camera, bunny owners can take twice as many pictures of their pets than they could with the other brands.” Bunnies around the world thank you.
