Ready to Rocket 2007 Blasts off with its top 25 list
January 26, 2007
Vancouver is home to many of Canada's most exciting technology companies. In a city where everybody seems to have a start-up of some sort, it can be very overwhelming attempting to keep tabs on the comings and goings of Van City's burgeoning tech sector. Enter the Rocket Builders- a sales and marketing consulting firm that focuses on helping technology companies grow and prosper. Interested companies can pay a small fee and attend seminars discussing all aspects of market initiatives, sales programs, product launches and strategic planning.
Over the past seven years, Rocket Builders has gained a reputation for helping to turn out some of the most exciting tech companies in Canada. Each year, they catalogue their best of the best, with "Ready to Rocket - Profiling Tomorrow's Revenue Growth Leaders in Information Technology."
The criteria for inclusion requires that a company be privately held and be based out of British Columbia. In addition to the Ready to Rocket list, they also produce a "Ones to Watch" list that profiles companies that didn't quite make the list this year, but are on the right track for significant gains in the future.
This year, the list was compromised of predominantly CRM, wireless and ICT security companies as well as several SaaS (Software as a Service) companies. The event featured some very informative discussion and Q&A. This year's Ready to Rocket 25 list can be viewed, in its entirety, in our supplements section.
Bluetooth headsets are very useful - until you misplace them. When you lose the attractive little S-800, you use your phone to signal the headset to start buzzing.
