Music Phone, Kid'S Phone   |  November 10, 2005

Motorola ROKR and Rogers Firefly
Other phones can play MP3s but the ROKR is the first to incorporate iTunes, Apple’s popular music service. The ROKR can store up to 100 songs and works with iTunes software. It is available from Rogers for $199 on a three-year plan.

Some controversy surrounded the introduction of the Firefly, also from Rogers. Critics say creatinga cellphone targeted to kids ignores potential health hazards, but many parents want their children to have a cellphone they can actually use. Decide for yourself, but if you do want a kid to be able to call for help the Firefly starts at $50.
