Tech Toys For Tweens November 10, 2005

By Peter Wolchak

Hasbro ChatNow and VCam Now
Too young for a cellphone but not too young to want one. It’s a common problem, so check out the ChatNow. They look like chunky cellphones and are sold in pairs, and the two-way radios let kids chat, text message each other and take pictures. They also employ unique numbers so kids can connect directly to their buddies.

The VCam now is both a still and video camera, and the images can be viewed on a TV or a transferred to computer. The VCam can also be used as a Web cam.

Both are for ages eight and up and each retail for $99.99.
