POWER FROM THE SUN September 11, 2005

By Peter Wolchak

iSun Sport and BattPak

If you love mobile devices then you need mobile power; from ICP comes a couple of environmentally friendly options. The iSun Sport is a small solar charger that offers six- or 12-volt output, enough to juice a cell phone, PDA or MP3 player, but probably not a laptop. you can also couple the iSun with a BattPak to charge batteries; the unit will accommodate 10 AA batteries, for example, and keep the kids’ tech toys running during a camping trip.

The iSun sells for approximately $90, the BattPak for $44.
