More than music   |  July 13, 2004

BenQ Joybee 120 and 150
It seems every tech company offers an MP3 player; the first units from BenQ each go a little beyond music.

The Joybee 120 holds 256MB of music, and the player also offers an FM radio with radio recording. The player also does duty as a voice recorder — for meetings, for example — with a capacity of 1,000 minutes, and it works as a flash media storage device, similar to a USB thumb drive.

The Joybee 150 is similar — it plays music and has FM and FM recording — but its screen can also display ASCII-based .txt files, so you can carry lyrics or business documents with you. The 150 also has line-in for recording from external audio devices.

The 120 and 150 retail for $269.99 and $299.99 respectively. There are also 128MB models available.
