Dell D410
One perhaps wouldn’t call this Dell a ground-breaking notebook in either its style or design, but one nice addition is the DBay, included in the purchase price, which adds an external CD drive to the unit. Or, for an additional $69, the D-Bay can come with a DVD drive. The bay can be left in the hotel room during the day for meetings and then used to play DVDs in the evening or on the plane home. The D410 also has a good keyboard and a speedy Pentium M 1.6GHz processor.

Add-on drives and bays can be purchased for any notebook but the inclusion of a bay in a unit priced at only $1,649 explains Dell’s reputation for delivering quality products at good prices.
