A Treo that does Windows
PALM TREO 700WX

Canadians had to wait a while to get a Treo that runs Windows Mobile- the 700w launched in the U.S. one year ago- but the improved 700WX hit Cnaadian shelves in October and, at press time, it was quite a deal starting at $199 from either Bell or Telus.
Windows Mobile fans should check out the 700WX
No Antennae, and four colours
PALM TREO 680

This is the Palm for the more fashion-conscious consumer. The 680 runs Palm OS, has no antennae and although it is only marginally smaller than its 650 predecessor-its curved sides and back fit your hand better.
It sells for $299 on a three-year voice and data plan from Rogers. And about the colours: while the 680 does come in Copper, Crimson (pictured), Arctic and Graphite, at press time Rogers is only stocking Graphite (grey). The sexier tones are available directly from Palm.
The Web. With you
NOKIA 770 INTERNET TABLET

For those who never want to be far from the Internet comes the Nokia 770. At 14 cm across, the unit is small enough to carry around but the screen is big enough for surfing the web or reading e-mail and Instant Messages. Connect through Wi-fi or pair it with your cell phone and you're online anywhere.
The 770 will retail for $430 but a release date had not been set at press time.
Carry and control your iPod
G-TECH iPOD BACKPACK

Kids and teens all carry backpacks. Many of them carry iPods. G-Tech has combined those activities by building iPod controls into the backpack's left strap.
The iPod is plugged into the two cables sewn into the bag, headphones plug into the strap, and the weaver can adjust the volume and skip back and forth

Talk, with tunes
SONY ERICSSON W810i Walkman Phone

First, it's a full cellphone. More importantly, it also wants to replace your iPod. The W810i comes with a 1GB memory card which translates into about 15 hours of music, it plays FM radio, and the built-in speaker is surprisingly good. The Walkman phone starts at $149 from Rogers.

Gadget of the Week (Canadian)

Where did I put that darn headset?
Cardo S-800

Bluetooth headsets are very useful - until you misplace them. When you lose the attractive little S-800, you use your phone to signal the headset to start buzzing.
