TD Canada’s operations in British Columbia are now powered completely by renewable energy. In a partnership with Bullfrog Power, TD bought 22,500 MWh of renewable energy, enough to power 139 branches of the bank, six investor centres and eight corporate offices.
“Our decision to invest in renewable electricity for our B.C. operations is a key component of our strategy to be carbon neutral across our Canadian operations in 2010,” said Karen Clarke-Whistler, chief environment officer of TD Bank Financial Group.
