It seems that TV networks increasingly don’t much like the cable systems that carry their programs. CTV, for example, just released a free iPad app that allows users to stream CTV and CTV Two’s new programs and returning hits. It also supplies series photos, episode guides, news updates, interactive broadcast schedules by time zone and sneak peeks, trailers and bonus content.
“The CTV App offers an interactive social experience with compelling features that act as the ultimate companion to viewers’ favourite TV programs,” said Jon Taylor, senior director, content, Bell Media Digital.
