Zombies in your city

Watch out citizens of Toronto, New York City and Rio de Janeiro

Are there zombies in your neighbourhood? The five Canadian cities with the highest zombie populations are Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary and Winnipeg. A zombie is a computer infected with a virus or Trojan horse that allows hijackers to control it. And like all zombies, one can infect others.

The big threat centres in the U.S. are New York City, Philadelphia, Austin, San Francisco and Dallas. Internationally, watch out for Rio de Janeiro, Beijing, Istanbul and Moscow.

These conclusions are generated by looking for infected IP addresses in specific geographic locations. McAfee warns that it only takes one infected USB key or an unprotected machine to zombify other computers.
