Research conducted by hosting company 1&1 Internet revealed 78 per cent of online shoppers prefer sites that have positive environmental practices. Such practices include hosting by servers powered by renewable energy or even just being associated with a green service provider. This research also showed that 67 per cent of American consumers shop online frequently, most making purchases two or more times per month.
