Circular polarization has been used in more movies lately to display 3D content with inexpensive polarized glasses. The ability to display polarized content is available today in a number of different monitors and TV screens, although I've not seen much common office software take advantage of it yet. As a critical mass is reached though I'm sure that we'll see more development. The office of the future will use normal analysis tools to display information in 3D and move beyond CAD applications of physical models. The effect may not be as all-encompassing as the virtual reality shown in the movie Disclosure but it should be available on hardware, software and a 3D web near you.
